Explorer Scouts
Explorer Scouts are young people, usually aged between 14 and 18 years old. They make up the fourth Section of the Scouting family. There are many types of Explorer Scout Units, some may be linked to your local Scout Group, others may be based around different activities.
Mersey Moot is the major joint Explorer Scout/ Ranger Guide / Young Leader / Network event held annually in the Merseyside area. Each year some 1000 Explorer Scouts, Ranger Guides, Young Leaders and Network members descend on Tawd Vale (Merseyside County Campsite). Th

The Apex Extreme is a tough and challenging event for Explorers and the Scout Network, spread across an entire weekend.
Teams from Blackburn and Burnley fought for the right to take the Bowley Bucket back to their Unit. This years event started at Edisford Bridge in Clitheroe. Teams set off for their overnight stop whilst being hunted by the Leader team, those caught losing points each time they were caught.
